4. Montag's reaction to the commercial is that he can't concentrate in what he is doing so he starts arguing out loud and everyone looks at him.

Fahrenheit 451 questions
1. I think that Ray Bradbury started the novel this way because he wanted to start his story different from other authors or just to grab the readers attention.
2. In the opening scene the book is compared to birds because
3.the difference between Montag's life and Clarisses's life is that Clarisse has a family she's happy and she seems humble all the time (so far in the story). While in Montag's life his wife tried killing herself it seems like he's brainwashed and Clarisse isn't she's not afraid to speak about what she's thinking.
4. The headphones called "seashells" are like ours because you go into your own world blocking everyone else. Then when he goes into his house he has a hand recognition to go into his home. We have that with our phones but instead of being our whole hand its our finger and it unlocks it.
5. I feel like the narrator introduced Montag to show how their society is and how he reacted when he met Clarisse because she was different. Then his wife overdoses kind of showing how she doesn't like her life.
6. I think that Clarisse was introduced first because she's seems happier then Mildred. It makes the story "take a turn" because it starts off normal or happy and then its turns to Mildred showing how unhappy she is.
7. All the houses in the society are fireproof for safety. So when they burned books the houses wont catch on fire.
8. Mildred required emergency service because she overdosed on pills. The doctor arrives at their home and acts like it isn't a big deal and that it happens all the time.
9. I'm assuming that the mechanical hound is where Montag stays and supervises or something like that. I'm not really sure.
10. The society considers Clarisse "anti-social" because she asks a lot of questions from the society while other people just act the same like each other. They act like followers and she doesn't.
11. I think that the lady lighted the match because she didn't want to leave her books.
12. Montag and Mildred's relationship is very unhappy. They don't remember when they met or how they met it seems like they don't love each other. She's unhappy that she even tried killing herself.

Music As Literatures
I think that music is literature. The difference between a rap song and an opera is that they are both written differently. For example they both have different rhythms to it the wordings of the songs are spoken differently.
